Georgian is a specialist in East Asian Medicine. She’s highly skilled at diagnosing and treating a range of autoimmune diseases (of which there are 155), migraines, bone and muscular pain and infertility. She is proficient in cupping, gua sha, tuina and moxibustion to complement acupuncture therapies. She received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Health Sciences in 2001 from the Bastyr University of Natural Health Sciences in WA State. In 2002, she earned Certification in the Art of Acupuncture, Tuina, Cupping and Moxibustion from the Chungdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Peoples Republic of China. In China, during her residency, she treated patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Once back in the states, she graduated earning a Master of Science in Acupuncture in 2002. Following graduation, she entered a Certificate program to become accomplished in Chinese Herbs – the Materia Medica – during which time she worked in the Bastyr University dispensary. She studied Japanese style acupuncture and Hara diagnosis with Tai Lahans and Shonishin Japanese Pediatric Needle Therapy from Junko Ida and Stephen Birch which she learned that children love.
Georgian has been Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) since 2003. This recognition certifies that she earned a Diplomate in Acupuncture - the highest of distinctions in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is currently licensed with the State of Washington Department of Health. She’s a member of the American Society of Acupuncturists.
To support the Washington State acupuncturists, she served as a former President of the South Sound Acupuncture Association in support of patient safety (2013). She was a member of the WA State Acupuncture Association and served on the Access to Acupuncture Committee. While a member of the National Association of Professional Women, she was honored in 2015 for Outstanding Excellence and Dedication to Her Profession and the Achievement of Women. In 2018, she volunteered to treat our Veterans and First Responders with Acupuncture.
